Blog Number 32 - 7/5/10

Hard Luck Joe
Just a quick post to say hard luck to the three Bellingham golfers who tried qualifying for the US Senior Open at an event at Semiahmoo today, but came up a little short. Rick Weihe finished 56th, Dale Tateyama tied for 46th and Joe Holdridge was tied for 38th. Only the top two finishers made it through to Sahalee CC (July 29-Aug 1) - Bellevue's Tom Brandes who shot 72, and Boise, ID's Jeff Thomsen who was medalist with a two-under-par 70.

Well Done WJGA Winners
I had the great pleasure of catching a little of the action at the WJGA event at Bellingham GCC yesterday. Rest assured, there are some very fine young players in the district - Bellingham's own Joshua Crowe among them. Also, Bellingham golfers put up some pretty decent numbers at the recent WSGA Amateur Championships.

Finish Line in Sight at Anytime Fitness
For one reason and another, I hadn't trained at Anytime Fitness for a couple of weeks. So when I showed up for my seventh session yesterday, I was expecting the worst.

Did I Miss Anything?
It's nine days since I blogged; nine days really since I was last in contact with the world. We had some family business in Alabama of all places. But I'm back now, and ready for the US Open...what's that now? It was last weekend?!?!
