Blog 46 - Dustin Johnson and the Rules Nightmare at Whistling Straits

What does the episode involving Dustin Johnson on the 72nd hole at the PGA Championship mean for the game?
When the first mention of a possible two-shot penalty for Dustin Johnson (who had grounded his club in a patch of sand to the right of the 18th fairway) came up, most people's reaction would surely have been 'You've got to be joking'. I know mine was.  Well, it appears the PGA of America and Rules Chairman Mark Brown were absolutely right and that there was no doubt of which Johnson could have been given the benefit.

That said, the improvement I've noticed since day one is not inconsiderable. Back then, it took me all of 30 seconds on the elliptical machine to reach my target heart rate of 145bpm. Yesterday, it took six minutes.
