The 2011 PGA Tour begins tomorrow with the Hyundai Championship at Kapalua on the island of Maui. This year's event, which brings together last season's tournament winners, doesn't boast the greatest field in the world (actually, that's not true because it is considerably better than that playing the European Tour's Africa Open in East London, South Africa, and altogether stronger than the turnout for the Victorian Open in Australia), but because it's the start of a new season and seven of the world's top 15 players are taking advantage of the climate, scenery and guaranteed money (no cut. Last year, last place earned just over $70,000), there is an inevitable sense of anticipation. But who will get the new year off and running in the best fashion possible?
