Blog 130, 6,23,11 - Goodwin Stumbles to 76

Western's Dylan Goodwin struggled in the third round of the WSGA Men's Amateur Championship at McCormick Woods yesterday, carding a four-over 76 that took him to three-under 213 for 54 holes. Andrew Perez, with whom Goodwin shared the lead after two rounds also shot 76 and the pair are now tied for second, four behind Olympia's Jarred Bossio who shot to the top of the leaderboard with a fine 67.
Bellingham native Matt Rawitzer moved up into a tie for fourth with a 71, and Western's Sandy Vaughan is tied for sixth on one-over 217. Former Viking Sean Packer is also in the top ten.
In the women's championship at the Home Course, Western's Kara Zitzman is up to 13th following a 73, Karly Olsen remained in a tie for 20th after a 77 and Claire Rachor is down to 26th after an 85.

With rounds of 69 and 68, Western's Dylan Goodwin shares the lead at the halfway stage of the Washington State Men's Amateur Championship at McCormick Woods in Port Orchard.
