Jessi Gebhardt knows she didn't do herself justice at the US Womens Open (which will finish some time on Monday after four days of weather delays). She's disappointed, of course, but like a true professional, she's already thinking about how to get it right next time.

Friday was a disappointing day for Bellingham golfers Jessi Gebhardt and Matt Rawitzer. At the US Womens Open, Gebhardt shot a first-round 82 that she evntually completed around lunchtime after yesterday's weather suspension and then followed with another 82 this afternoon. At the Sahalee Players Championship at Sahalee CC in Sammamish, Matt Rawizer shot a closing 78 to slip down the leaderboard.

After a frustrating first day at the US Womens Open when she had to endure a lengthy weather suspension, Jessi Gebhardt couldn't find a rhythm Friday morning making seven bogeys and two doubles to complete a first-round 82. Matt Rawitzer had a much better day at the Sahalee Players Championship, meanwhile, carding rounds of 76 and 73.

Bellingham's Matt Rawitzer began the Sahalee Players Chamionship with a four-over-par 76 to end the first day tied for 41st.
