Blog 281, 9/4/13 - Last Chance to Sign up for Tyler Wong's Fundraiser

TylerWongSudden Valley PGA assistant professional Tyler Wong, who is on the road to becoming a Class A PGA professional, will be hosting a two-man scramble tournament at Sudden Valley this coming Saturday (Sept. 7th) in an effort to raise funds for his journey to PGA School.
The entry fee is $70 for non-members and the field limited to 50 teams.
If the thought of playing a fun event on a beautiful course on what the forecast is saying will be a dry day isn't enough to get you out to Sudden Valley, perhaps the fact a couple of Seattle Seahawks Seagals are the special guests might persuade you.

diablogolfWhile you're on the phone, you might want to ask about the inaugural Whatcom County Open (formerly the Whatcom County Amateur) to be played Sept 28-29 at both Sudden Valley and North Bellingham (18 holes at each course). Amateurs will be able to go head-to-head against the area's leading professionals in a tournament sponsored by (click on the image) which provides mobile and internet score-posting and handicap-tracking software, plus discounts on tee-times and travel.
Entry fee is $190 and includes 36 holes (plus two half price practice rounds the week before the event), a BBQ lunch on Saturday, a prime rib dinner that evening, Mexican lunch on Sunday, entry to the long drive contest, KP prizes, and a $50 gift card you can use at the TaylorMade Adidas mobile pro shop. Diablo Golf members will be also be eligible for a $1,000 cash skins pot provided by the sponsors.
