mattrBellingham's Matt Rawitzer (right) shot a three-under-par 67 in the second round of the 47th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship at Capilano GC in Vancouver, BC yesterday. On two-under 138 at the halfway stage, the former Oregon State golfer is tied for seventh, eight shots behind leader Tyler Raber, from California, who opened with a brilliant 63 on the 6,706-yard Stanley Thompson-designed course, and followed it with a 67 Wednesday.
As well playing individually, Rawitzer also represented the Pacific Northwest Golf Association in the Morse Cup which ran concurrently (top two scores from three counted). Rawitzer and teammates David Fink and Carl Jonson finished second on six-under, two strokes behind the Northern California Golf Association.
