Western's Kyle Schrader (right) and Mark Strickland, and Bellingham's Matt Rawitzer all won their first round matches at the PNGA Men's Amateur Championship on the Bandon Dunes Course at the Bandon Dunes Resort Golf today. Strickland who finished fifth in strokeplay qualifying after rounds of 69 and 78, defeated Oregon's Marcus Potter 3&2, while 64th qualifier Schrader took out the medalist and No. 1 seed Joshua Munn of New Zealand 2&1. Rawitzer, who finished 36th after two rounds of strokeplay, beat Idaho's Taylor Schmidt 3&2. In tomorrow's second round, Schrader will face Oregon's Dylan Wu, Strickland goes up against Nicolas Noya of San Francisco, and Rawitzer plays Bandon Dunes caddie Tim Tucker.
