Blog 248, 2/9/13 - Rawitzer Ties 20th in Hawaii

rawitzerdrivesBellingham native Matt Rawitzer (right), a senior at Oregon State University, finished in a tie for 20th in a field of 111 at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii this week, completing 54 holes round the King's Course at Waikoloa Beach on the Big Island in two-under 214.
Rawitzer finished nine shots behind individual winner Dominic Bozzeli of Auburn University, but level with the University of Washington's (UW) Chris Williams, the current number one-ranked amateur in the world.
Winning the team title was UCLA which beat UW in a playoff after both teams finished on 22-under 842. Rawitzer and his Beaver teammates came in 14th out of 19 teams on nine-over 873.
