Blog 223, 7/13/12 - Webb Knocked Out of PNGA Men's Amateur

Western Washington's Jake Webb has been knocked out of the PNGA Men's Amateur Championship at Wine Valley GC in Walla Walla. The Issaquah resident who played 13 tournaments for the Vikings in the 2011-12 season averaging 74.91, was beaten 4&3 by the University of Oregon's Rak Cho in the round of 16. In the round of 32, Webb had defeated Spokane's Dylan Maine 3&1.

Lake Padden pro's Matt Cowell and Luke Bennett shot rounds of 67 and 68 respectively in yesterday's Pro-Am at the Rosauers Open in Spokane, Cowell finishing in a tie for third, three behind winner Derek Barron, Bennett tied for eighth.
