Blog 169, 10/19/11 - Gebhardt Climbs Leaderboard With 72

jessigebhardtAfter a disappointing first-round 77 that put her in a tie for 48th at the Arizona Women's Open being played at the Wigwam Resort near Phoenix Tuesday, Bellingham's Jessi Gebhardt (right) bounced back with a fine level-par 72 today jumping 17 places up the leaderboard into a tie for 31st with 18 holes still to go.
The winner of last week's event on the Cactus Tour, Gebhardt is eleven shots behind leader Selanee Henderson who added a one-under 71 to her opening 67. Marisa Mauldin is second a shot behind, while Jasi Acharya is third on 139. LPGA players Stephanie Louden and Dina Ammaccapane, along with Big Break Sandals Resort contestant Taryn Durham, are tied for fourth on 142.
