Blog 134, 7/5/11 - Places Remain at 'Golf Today NW' Event at North Bellingham

golftodaynwJust three years after it began appearing on magazine stands at golf courses throughout the Northwest 'Golf Today NW' magazine has begun staging tournaments and 'fun events' at the region's favorite courses. This summer, events are lined up at McCormick Woods in Port Orchard on August 30th, and next Monday (July 11th), the North Bellingham Classic will be played at North Bellingham giving away $100 in tee prizes for each player and offering $4,000 worth of raffle prizes. The emphasis, says the magazine's publisher/editor Camron Healey, will be on having fun rather than beating the competition as no scorecards will be handed in. "Everyone goes home a winner," says Healey. As well as the tee prizes and post-round raffle, the entry fee ($101 for a single, $182 for a twosome, $255 for a threesome, and $324 for a foursome) includes hot appetizers during the raffle, and a cart. The events begins at 1.30pm with a shotgun start. Long Drive, KP and Long Putt prizes are also up for grabs. Sign up here.
Tee box sponsorships, priced at $250, are still available to companies interested in promoting their businesses to local golfers. The cost guarantees the sponsor one playing spot, tee box signage, the opportunity to either set up on the tee box to demonstrate their wares and/or include marketing collateral in each golfer’s goody bag.
