Sudden Valley assistant pro Tyler Wong closed the 54-hole Washington Open Invitational at Glendale CC in Bellevue with a two-over 73 that saw him finish the tournament on ten-over 223 and tied for 36th. Mike Montgomery, the head pro at Bellingham GCC, had a 74 finishing on eight over 221 and tied for 29th.
As expected, Tim Feenstra completed a fairly stress-free victory, finishing seven clear of runner-up Michael Putnam after beginning the day with a six-shot lead over the PGA Tour player and Derek Berg. Feenstra won his second Washington Open (first in 2007) with a final round 70 that gave him a three-round total of 13-under 200.
Andres Gonzales was third on 208, and three were tied for fourth on 210.
