Mike Montgomery (right), the head pro at Bellingham GCC, is tied for sixth after the first round of the PNWPGA Professional Championship at Canyon River GC in Missoula, MT. The former University of Washington golfer (and a contributing instructor for BellinghamGolfer) shot a four-under-par 68 on the 6,935-yard Lee Schmidt/Brian Curley-designed course to finish the day three shots behind leader Jerry Johnson who played in this year's US Senior Open at Sahalee CC.
