Blog 50 - SWING FORE MIRACLES, Shuksan Discounts, US Senior Am Qualifier

cmnremax175SWING FOR MIRACLES, a fundraising event benefiting the Seattle Childrens Hospital and organized in conjunction with RE/MAX, is set for Sunday September 12th at Lake Padden and will look to better the $11,000 it raised twelve months ago. Open to kids aged between eight and 15, the golf will be non-competitive and start at 2pm. Participants will have the choice of playing five or nine holes.
RE/MAX'S Renay Daniels who is coordinating the event stresses the focus will be on having fun. 'We'll have raffles and a barbeque after the golf,' she says. 'And for the golf itself we'll have all sorts of games like Throw Your Drive, and Blindfolded Putting.'
There is no entry fee, but prizes including signed Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Sounders jerseys will be up for grabs. For more information call Renay on 360-220-5813 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
RE/MAX has partnered with Seattle Childrens Hospital and the Childrens Miracle Network since 1987 and in that time raised over $100million for the organization that links over 170 hospitals in five countries.

Shuksan is offering some attractive green fee discounts for the Labor Day weekend. Tee it up after 12.30pm on either Sunday or Monday and you'll pay just $25.

Four Bellingham golfers - Rick Weihe, Fred Urquhart, William Hager and Ted King - played in yesterday's US Senior Amateur qualifier at Seattle GC but sadly didn't do enough to advance to the championship.
