Following on from the Callaway Demo Day at Lake Padden a couple of weekends ago, TaylorMade reps will be showing off the company's new products on the grass tees of the practice range on Friday June 4th from 1pm to 5pm. A similar discount (10%) to what was offered on Callaway clubs will be available on all TaylorMade purchases and you'll get 120% of your present wedge or putter's trade-in value (according to the PGA of America's Value Guide) against a new TaylorMade wedge or putter.
Two weeks later, on June 18th, the course will be hosting the Hospice Foundation Charity Golf Tournament in association with Mills Electric. The event, held in honor of Michael R. Smith a long time Men's Club member, will begin with an 8.30am shotgun and be a five-person scramble with two drives and two second shots each. 'Out of respect for Mike and his unwavering desire to wear out the putting green, players will have to tee off at the Par 3 holes (4th, 6th, 12th 16th) with special putters,' says Director of Golf Mel Fish. 'On the 16th, the putter will be left-handed and there will be a prize for the longest left-handed putt made.'

Shuksan will be holding its two-person better-ball tournament on Sunday June 6th. The entry fee is $49 for club members and $59 for non-members (includes green fee, lunch with beverage and prize fund). There will be gross and net prizes in two divisions, and the maximum handicap spread between partners is ten strokes. KP and long drive prizes will be on offer as well as an optional skins game ($10 per player).
