Tyler Wong, a PGA assistant professional at Sudden Valley, shot a three-over-par 74 in the first round of the Washington Open Invitational at Glendale CC in Bellevue today. Wong, who shot a 68 in yesterday's pro-am, is tied for 43rd, ten shots behind leader Ryan Benzel who made six birdies, an eagle, a single bogey in a round of 64. Tyler and Pro-Am partner Dave Moree (there are 91 teams of one professional and one amateur playing a net better-ball competition over the 54 holes of the tournament) are tied for 46th in the Championship Pro-Am after a 68.
